A couple days ago Howard Owens sent me a message asking me to film a local football game for him, so I agreed to do it. I ended up getting there with my friend Destin a few minutes late, which turned out to be fine since nothing exciting happened while we werent there. Then I set up my monstrous Bogen 3066 tripod with my tiny HV20. After getting that level and set I realized I was going to have to move around the field the entire time. Which was a good thing for shooting, since the shots werent from just one angle, but killed my wrist. But it was good excercise and ended up being a ton of fun. I’m pretty happy with the way to video turned out, although because of technical difficulties, I didn’t get sound.Heres the video. Enjoy!

So for the past week or so I’ve been on vacation with my family. Right before we left I made a video for a video contest sponsored by the center for inquiry. It was a video made in PSA style about free expression. I’ll embed the video in this post when I get a chance. If I get first place it’s $2000. Which sounds good to me. Haha. It took me about 2 hours to film, and edit it. I used my $7 work lights that I got at a garage sale this summer. Only thing I forgot was to add a hair light. Which isn’t a HUGE deal, but it would’ve helped. Anways, that’s what I’ve been up to lately.
