I recently purchased a Manfrotto 682b on ebay and decided that to make it useful I would need a small tripod head to attach to it. Being in college and only being able to work for 6 weeks this year I needed something as close to free as possible but still decent quality. After doing some research and seeing a review of the Velbon PH-368 on Cheesycam I went ahead and purchased one from Adorama. It arrived in 3 days and I am very pleased with it so far. Even with its plastic build the head is pretty solid for only $30. This morning my monopod arrived and I put the two together. I haven’t had a chance to really use the new combo on anything besides some test shots around the house but if its as good in the real world as it is at home I’ve very happy with my new tool. I plan on shooting some video at a Word of Life’s snow camp and I think this will come in very handy. I’ll post a more thorough review once I get to test it out on a real shoot.
